The World’s End Market is located in the iconic building which formerly housed the World’s End pub, originally a tavern during the times of Charles II from which the area gained its name.
The concept is simple: offering only the very best “market fresh” produce for all day dining, supporting, wherever possible, local suppliers. Clients are encouraged to choose from the resplendent fish and meat selection, much of the produce coming from their sister restaurant’s own Butcher’s, Fishmonger’s and Grocery Shop.
For desert we went for the Hazelnut and Caramel cheesecake and the Chocloate Fondant. Both were recommendations from the manger, who was very charming throughout the evening and they were nice. They were rich dishes and when i say WE, it is because we like to share and have severe FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out). Like the main courses and all three courses i had, i wouldn't say that they had the WOW factor.
The food here is good and concept works. The introduction of a bar and jazz club downstairs and a function room upstairs does make The World's End the place to go to on King's Road. Good food and good options means that return visits will be commonplace and London's good food map is growing.
